Experience and Qualifications

We are not your average teachers! We specialize in movement and the arts, which makes learning fun and engaging. Beyond the classroom, we have young kids of our own. We love continuing education and staying current in our methods. We are learners just as much as we are teachers!

Ms. Melanie

In My opinion teaching is the greatest profession and I love teaching little people! I have been teaching preschool since 2014. I have a masters in Physical Education from Washington State University. My background in movement and passion for music helps me to teach challenging concepts in a fun way!  Outside of Preschool I am a mother of 4, and I love riding my bike, swimming, playing sports, singing and reading.

Ms. Monica

Hi there I’m Ms. Monica!!! I knew from an early age that I loved helping people. In all my jobs my whole life it has involved helping people of all ages. I started at Sprouts 2 years ago doing science. I love how excited the kids get over our science projects. This last year I had my own class and enjoyed all of it! I love watching the growth of the children through the year and just having fun and singing and dancing with kids. My family includes a 7 year old daughter and a 2 year old son and my husband. In my time off I just live exploring the Pacific Northwest with my family!

Ms. Steph

Hello! My name is Steph Cowart and I am excited to have such a fun year with your kiddos. I have a Masters degree in Educational Technology, and I taught Hugh school for 8 years before staying home to raise our own 2 kids. Now that they’re both back in school, I found a passion for the younger age classes and am so excited to be able to be back in the classroom. I love doing anything art related, have recently started gardening and am a sucker for a home improvement project!

Ms. Cassie

Hello, I am Ms. Cassie! I am super excited to be working with preschoolers. One of my favorite quotes is, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” by William Butler Yeats. Every child holds a match and I love helping them light their own fire! I graduated with a bachelors in Early Childhood Special Education. I have taught young children while student teaching, in church primary classes, and ran my own in-home preschool for 2 years. Some of my most favorite and memorable lessons include hands-on and real-world learning. When I’m not in the classroom I enjoy running, gardening, and hanging out with my 3 children and husband.

Ms. Kira

Hello, I’m Ms. Kira! I believe every child is important and the opportunity to help them as they grow and learn is invaluable. I enjoy finding creative, fun and active ways to learn and explore. I studied Biology in college and graduated right before having my first of three kids. I strive to keep my husband and kids active outside and promote trying new things. I enjoy art, exercising, making my own clothes and swimming! My goal in life is to stay happy and make every day count.

Ms. Alisha

When I was younger, you could find me helping out in the nursery and preschool classrooms, eventually geting my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.  I have nannied, taught at different preschools including Montessori, childcare and was a center director. What I love the most about my job is seeing the excitement in the eyes of each child as they are learning something new! I love spending time with my husband, our son, and our two dogs playing outdoors, traveling, and having dance parties.
